Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications to patients. You will assist pharmacists by preparing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and supporting operational efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Occasionally, you may engage in customer service calls and inquiries related to shipped orders.
Key Responsibilities
Retrieve medication from stock, count, and package orders for pharmacist review.
Process and fill prescription orders for pharmacist verification.
Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients.
Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units.
Replenish workstation supplies (vials, caps, labels, etc.).
Remove outdated products from shelves and assist with inventory replenishment.
Maintain par levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items.
Navigate multiple computer systems to provide medication details and respond to inquiries
Required Qualification
High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
Current New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks.
Preferred Qualification
Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
Previous experience in a mail-order pharmacy setting.
Competency in basic math (fractions, decimals, measurements).
Proficient computer and organizational skills with attention to detail.
