Pharmacy Technician – On‑Site (Contract‑to‑Hire)

Location: Abilene, TXWorksite: Fully On‑SitePositions Available: 3Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 8 AM–5 PM or 11 AM–8 PM
• Saturday/Sunday rotation: 9 AM–5 PM
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Technicians to support daily operations in a high‑volume dispensing pharmacy. This role focuses on medication picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.

What You’ll Do

• Accurately fill daily medication orders under pharmacist supervision
• Pick medications from shelving and storage areas
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy
• Alert the pharmacist when items do not scan properly
• Assist with processing returned medications
• Pre‑pack frequently used medications during low‑volume periods
• Package materials and products manually
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and restock supplies
• Follow all safety, attendance, and dress code policies
• Comply with HIPAA and all applicable regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (issued by the Texas Board of Pharmacy)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience

Physical Requirements

• May sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently throughout the day
• May sit or stand for 7–10 hours per shift
• May lift up to 25 lbs
• Requires finger dexterity for equipment operation
• Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to hear normal voice communication
• Extended hours may be required based on workload
