As an Automation Technician, you will actively maintain medication dispensing system (Synmed). Furthermore, you will supervise daily task execution and assess machine performance metrics.

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pmCST
Location: Onsite in our North Central Ausin facility

Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan maintenance for Synmed machine.
- Plan/distribute/monitor daily task execution and cell metrics.
- Manage/monitor overall automation team metrics by section.
- Manage and perform cassette stocking/replenishment.
- Maintain Omnicell machine for idiosyncrasies that occur daily.
- Order/track supplies and future requirements.
- Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
- Accurately package prescriptions in blister cards based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
- Pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
- Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
- Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
- Liaison with the procurement team to handle NDC changes, "out of stocks", and back-order medications.
- Oversees daily task accomplishment by the team and provides feedback.
- Identifies issues as they arise that affect production goals and deadlines.
- Facilitates team member time management and task assignments based on requirements.
- Is the first point of contact in daily interactions with team members providing feedback related to work, schedule, and performance.
- Interfaces with the Production Manager for daily goals, metric development, and team-related issues.
- Strategizes manpower requirements based on daily/weekly/cycle production targets.
Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities
- Must possess an active TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
- Ability to complete projects promptly.
- Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.
- 1+ year experience in a pharmacy environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
- Must be able to stand/be on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
