As a Pharmacy Technician I, Fulfillment, you'll play a vital role in prescription fulfillment, patient communication, and medication preparation. Unlike a typical pharmacy technician role, this position offers cross-training in sterile and non-sterile compounding and clinical coordination support within an innovative, service-oriented environment. You'll be involved in every step of the pharmacy process, from prescription entry to point of sale, with ample opportunities for growth, learning, and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure prescriptions are labeled, packaged, and verified correctly prior to delivery or pickup
- Assist in maintaining clean, compliant, and organized workstations throughout the shift
- Support daily workflow across multiple pharmacy departments, as needed
- Manage and track inventory of medications and supplies to ensure timely replenishment
- Organize, file, and archive prescription records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist with compounding preparation (non-sterile and sterile, based on training level)
- Learn to support simple to complex compounding tasks with appropriate training
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure smooth coordination across departments (dispensing, compounding, fulfillment, and clinical coordination)
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- 6+ months of experience in a pharmacy setting
- Ability to work with pharmacy software, cloud-based communication tools, and mobile platforms
- Strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and a team-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced pharmacy setting requiring multitasking and attention to detail
- Collaborative team environment with cross-functional exposure to compounding, fulfillment, and clinical coordination
- May require occasional remote or telephonic patient interactions
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and medication preparation
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Visual acuity required for reading prescriptions and verifying medication labels
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm
