Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for an initial 3-month contract in Upland, CA. This position comes with the likeliness of an extension or a direct offer.Pay: $27.13/hourShift: 8:00am-4:30pm PST, Monday-Friday

Position Summary:The technician will be responsible for the packaging, preparation, and sterile compounding of intravenous medications as well as injectable medications, including chemotherapy and other biohazardous drugs. All duties must be performed in accordance with USP 797 and 800 standards, institutional protocols, and safety guidelines. This position may require 5-6 hours per day performing compounding duties in a sterile environment, which requires specific garbing and cleanroom etiquette. The Pharmacy Technician will be working with hazardous medications under the protection of Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. gowns, masks, gloves, etc.) per institution protocol.

Position Qualifications:

Hospital experience is a MUST!- This position requires a California-licensed Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy- Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of PharmacyApply Today!#IND1#zr
