Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
At all levels, Pharmacy Technicianswork collaboratively as an active team member of the interdisciplinary team to provide patient centered care across the continuum. In this role,the goals include providinganexcellentpatient experience,high qualityoutcomes, and improved productivity for the team. This position will support Prior Authorizations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates competence in managing various pharmacy workflows and systems including dispensing, pharmacy information systems, and inventory management.
Maintains a system for medication storage and security
Manages medication recalls and backorders
Connects patients to medicationassistanceresources which includes management ofpatientassistanceprogram applications through pharmaceutical manufacturers
Collaborateswith the prior authorizations team
Assistspharmacists and other clinicians withmedication histories as requested
Performs medication refills using a standardized protocol
Support learners in the pharmacy department

SPECIFIED SKILLS
COMPUTER:
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE:
Spanish speaking skills preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical Demands: Light- Moderate energy level: Lift and carry 25 - 35lbs, Push/Pull 50 - 100lbs(empty bed, stretcher, etc.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Pharmacy Technician IV
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Meets all minimum qualifications for Pharmacy Technician III
Two yearsofpharmacyor clinical experience
Advanced skillset in one of the following:
Clinical care:
Examples include: 340B analysis, prior authorizations, benefit investigation, procurement, centralized distribution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a pharmacy technician training program
REQUIRED LICENSES:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) licensewithin 12 months of hire(applicable only to PharmacyTechnician Iposition).
SCHEDULE:
Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this position.Work from home opportunities may be available for qualified applications.Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division);40 hoursper workweek.Work hours will need to be flexiblein order torespond to special work assignments, or evening activities, as requested by the team leader.
POSITION COMPENSATION:
$27.88/hour, full time + full benefits available
