Job Description:
The Pharmacy technician supervisor is responsible/accountable for leading/managing the day to day operations in the pharmacy including staffing, dispensing/restocking, pharmacy automation and all associated functions. This role may involve occupational exposure to hazardous drugs. Training and education will be provided on any specific procedures, risks and safety protocols associated to the handling of these drugs.• Education▪ Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent▪ Preferred: Bachelors in a Related Field• Experience:▪ Required: 1-2 Years Related Experience▪ Preferred: 1-2 Years Managerial/Supervisory experience• Skills:▪ Demonstrates basic leadership skills▪ Written and oral communication skills▪ Classroom presentation skills▪ Operational knowledge of federal and state law affecting the workplace▪ Priorities management▪ Good organizational skills▪ Practices active listening skills▪ Demonstrates skills in critical thinking, conflict management, persuasion and change leadership• Licensure/Certification/Registration:▪ Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application is in process and full registration obtained within 30 days of hire▪ Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician obtained within 9 months of hire
