Pharmacy Clerk (Technician-in-Training) – Morning Shift
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Status: Pharmacy Technician Trainee Rotation: Weekends & Holidays Required
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Pharmacy Clerk (Tech in Trainee) to join our pharmacy team. This role supports pharmacy operations by assisting with purchasing, receiving, medication preparation, and inventory organization. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will help ensure medications are accurately prepared, labeled, and ready for final verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
- Process returned medications from facilities for credit or destruction.
- Organize and return medications to pharmacy shelves.
- Maintain orderly medication storage areas, including drugs and supplies.
- Pull/pick medications from shelving and prepack racks.
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
- Notify the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan properly.
- Package materials and products manually as needed.
- Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
- Assist with purchasing and receiving functions.
- Meet physical demands including extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
License / Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician Trainee License
- High School Diploma or GED
