This dynamic opportunity is a contract position with the possibility for a permanent role. Working from Monday to Friday, 7AM to 4PM, you'll gain hands-on experience in a supportive team environment. You'll leverage your skills in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy to streamline the collection and preparation of specimens. Responsibilities include executing blood draws, labeling, and handling specimens, recording maintenance data, and assisting with workflow improvements. You'll be adept at explaining procedures to patients, using both straight and butterfly needles, and ensuring accurate matching of requisition forms to specimen tubes. Your expertise in complying with OSHA and DEP regulations is critical, as is your ability to communicate laboratory results and handle inquiries. You must hold a valid phlebotomy certification in the state and have at least 6 months of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a High School Diploma or GED are required.
