Contract Details

- Pay Rate:$19.85–$21.80/hour
- Shift:1st Shift (Day Shift)
- Monday–Friday with Saturday rotation
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
The Phlebotomist Floater – 1st Shift represents the face of the organization to patients, providing high-quality blood collection and specimen processing services across multiple sites. This role requires advanced phlebotomy skills, strong customer interaction, and the ability to support high-volume clinical environments with professionalism and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
- Provide float coverage across PSC, IOP, mobile, long-term care, and physician office environments
- Ensure daily activities are completed accurately and on time
- Create a professional, compassionate patient experience while maintaining confidentiality
- Step in to lead and support PSR staff when required
- Act as a coach, mentor, and onboarding resource for new employees
- Serve as point of contact for on-site staff and provide feedback to supervisors
- Support high-complexity and high-volume practices requiring advanced phlebotomy expertise
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Lab Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of phlebotomy experience required
- Inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly across locations
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- (Required only in CA, NV, and WA)
- Minimum 3 years experience in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
