Position Summary: Provides clinical and clerical support relating to department activities. Performs diverse duties to provide support to the functions of the rehabilitation service line. Cross-trained and regularly works as the primary technician for the inpatient rehabilitation unit or serves as an office receptionist/secretary. Participates in training of new technicians. Trained to assist in rehabilitation treatments under the direct supervision of a PT/PTA, OTR/COTA, and/or SLP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transports patients from rooms and other areas

• Completes daily therapy scheduling for inpatient rehab unit

• Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits

• Completes various business office duties as needed

• Responsible for inventory and supply orders

• Skillfully performs treatments as assigned under appropriate direction

• Completes data entry of billing in a timely manner as applicable

• Trains new therapy techs

• May be assigned any rehab site or service per department needs

• Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct

Required Qualifications:

Education and Training:

• High school graduate or equivalent. CPR Certification.

• Excellent customer services skills.

• Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.

• Previous tech experience preferred.
