A Day in the Life of a Physical Therapist
As a Physical Therapist in home health care, you play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient function
- Collaborating with physicians to develop or revise individualized plans of care
- Preparing clinical and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards
- Providing therapeutic treatments tailored to each patient's needs
- Consulting with families and agency staff to support patient goals
- Continuously evaluating treatment effectiveness and updating plans as needed
- Coordinating services with other home health team members
- Supervising physical therapy assistants and home health aides when appropriate
- Assessing equipment needs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Following CMS documentation and billing requirements, including functional reassessments
- Practicing infection control and universal precautions
- Reporting suspected abuse according to state and federal guidelines
- Assisting with new‑hire orientation and participating in training activities

Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy education program
- Current Oklahoma PT license in good standing
- At least 1 year of physical therapy experience
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job

Full‑time, Monday-Friday8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
