Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Full-Time
Location: Flemington, NJSchedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PMCompensation: $70,000–$85,000/year + full benefits
Position Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a patient-focused outpatient orthopedic clinic. This role supports rehabilitation and recovery by delivering skilled treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The clinic is committed to strong clinical outcomes, ethical caseloads, and a collaborative team environment that prioritizes quality care and professionalism.

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following the established plan of care
- Implement appropriate treatments within PTA scope of practice, including therapeutic exercise, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, and other orthopedic-focused interventions
- Monitor patient progress and communicate clinical observations or status changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, safe movement strategies, and proper use of equipment as needed
- Document treatments, patient response, and progress accurately in the EMR in accordance with clinic policy and payer requirements
- Maintain compliance with New Jersey practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation guidelines
- Support a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
- Participate in team meetings and clinic initiatives as appropriate
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active New Jersey PTA license (or eligibility pending)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and patient care approach
- Reliable, team-oriented mindset and commitment to high standards
