Job Description
The Staff Pad has partnered with a well-known hospital in Helene, MT and we are seeking to hire a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join a collaborative and patient-focused rehabilitation team dedicated to helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality therapeutic treatments that restore function, improve quality of life, and support patients through every stage of recovery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients achieve their highest level of performance while providing compassionate, individualized care. You will also play an active role in department operations, quality improvement initiatives, and team collaboration to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments and therapy modalities under the direction of a licensed physical therapist
- Support patients in regaining mobility, strength, function, and independence following injury, illness, or disability
- Educate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to reach their maximum performance while helping them adapt to physical limitations
- Coordinate, delegate, and oversee responsibilities assigned to physical therapy technicians
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, treatment records, and charge entry
- Participate in departmental operations, performance improvement projects, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Contribute to budget planning and support department goals by maintaining cost-effective practices
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, safety protocols, equipment training, and fire safety procedures
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide outstanding patient-centered care
What We Are Looking For
Education, Knowledge and Experience
- Graduate of an approved school for Physical Therapy Assistants
- 3 or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy as an assistant
- Strong clinical and patient care skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
- Committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and supporting positive rehabilitation outcomes
Licensures and Certifications
- Current State Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure required
- Current BCLS (CPR) certification required
