Physical Therapist

A Closer Look at the Opportunity
A modern outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its clinical team. This role involves working with patients across a wide age range, from adolescents to older adults, who need help with orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical recovery, weakness, balance concerns, and mobility limitations.
You will be part of a team that includes 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants, giving you a collaborative setting while still allowing you to manage your own caseload and treatment plans.
What You Can Expect
- 7–15 patients per day
- Approximately 160–190 visits per week across the clinic
- Orthopedic and musculoskeletal caseload
- Patients ranging from 11 to 90 years old
- WebPT for EMR documentation
- Support from PTAs and fellow clinicians
- Modern outpatient clinic environment
Preferred Schedule Choices
Preferred Schedule: Four 10-Hour Days Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Tuesday off each week
Alternative Schedule: Monday–Friday Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Wednesday and Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and determine physical therapy needs
- Create treatment plans that address pain, mobility, strength, balance, and function
- Provide skilled therapy for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, strengthening, mobility work, and functional activities
- Use manual therapy and hands-on techniques when appropriate
- Reassess patient progress and update goals as needed
- Provide clear instructions for home exercises and ongoing recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation in WebPT
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
- Strong patient communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work well in a team-based clinic environment
