IMC is currently looking to hire a Physical Therapist ( Rehab Services) on a Fulltime basis. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patient needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, be responsible for organizing and conducting medically necessary physical therapy to restore function , prevent disability, decrease pain, and promote healing following disease, injury or sickness in our acute care setting. We have a team-oriented environment and our therapy services span across three settings, including acute, outpatient, and inpatient rehab. Our department is a great environment for flexibility and development of skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:

Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from an approved school.
Current valid Physical Therapy License in Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by LSBPTE.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of long term clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from an accredited PT school, or one year of recent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of PT delivery throughout patient lifespan.
Knowledge of acute care PT for inpatient services.

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate patients
Treat patients
Monitor and assess patients
Supervise delivery of treatment to patients
Reassess patients
Assist director of rehab with development of policies and procedures
Assist with scheduling of patients
Documentation of patient care
