Physical Therapist (Direct Hire)
Schedule
- Flexible schedule: 5×8‑hour shifts or 4×10‑hour shifts
- Weekends: Rotating as needed
- Holidays: Rotating
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full‑time, direct‑hire opportunity. This role is responsible for evaluating, planning, and delivering evidence‑based physical therapy services to help patients improve functional mobility, restore independence, and enhance overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care in accordance with physician orders and professional standards
- Provide evidence‑based physical therapy interventions, including gait training, therapeutic exercise, strengthening, and mobility training
- Utilize appropriate manual and non‑manual therapy techniques
- Reassess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
Treatment Planning & Patient Education
- Establish measurable treatment goals and track patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and functional mobility techniques
- Integrate discharge planning throughout the course of care
- Collaborate with patients and support systems to promote continuity of care
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory, clinical, and billing requirements
- Record patient status, interventions, and outcomes throughout the episode of care
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care team members
- Provide updates regarding patient progress and condition changes
- Identify and escalate changes in patient condition as appropriate
Safety & Quality
- Adhere to patient safety standards and National Patient Safety Goals
- Follow proper transfer techniques, body mechanics, and infection control procedures
- Ensure safe and appropriate delivery of all therapeutic interventions
Required Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Licensure: Active Physical Therapist license
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
