Program Eligibility Note: This position is eligible for participation in The Jackson Clinics' ABPTRFE-accredited Orthopedic Residency Program. Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is an approved clinical partner site of this nationally recognized program, we're proud to have graduated our first OCS resident through this partnership, with more residents progressing through the program now.

Job Description

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
  • Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine required treatment
  • Provide direct patient care per established protocols and patient care guidelines
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and build a comprehensive program to attain those goals
  • Implement the physical therapy treatment program and provide essential treatments
  • Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
  • Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' comp reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
  • For residency track candidates: complete the mentorship, didactic coursework, and clinical hour requirements of The Jackson Clinics' accredited Orthopedic Residency Program alongside standard clinical duties

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current South Carolina PT license or eligible to obtain one
  • CPR certification
  • Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills
  • Outgoing and energetic personality
  • Responsible individual with a solid work ethic
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • New or recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply for this role as well-suited to candidates interested in pursuing the orthopedic residency track

Additional Information

This position offers a sign-on bonus. The salary range begins at $75,000 and increases based on relevant experience. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. This position is also eligible for discretionary incentive compensation, subject to change under the Company's plan. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are available per the terms of the Company's plans.
