Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists with implementing individualized treatment plans*
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility assistance, and rehabilitation treatments*
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising therapists*
- Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress notes*
- Educate patients and family members on therapy techniques and recovery plans*
- Maintain compliance with facility standards, state regulations, and patient safety guidelines*
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure positive patient outcomes*
- Utilize rehabilitation equipment and modalities safely and effectively*
- Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program*
- Active North Dakota PTA license or compact eligibility*
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred*
- Minimum of one year of PTA experience preferred*
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills*
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical settings and patient populations*
- Excellent time management and documentation abilities
