Physical Therapist Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments and therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.*
• Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.*
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist.*
• Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment outcomes to the therapy team.*
• Accurately document patient care, progress notes, and treatment activities.*
• Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, exercises, and injury prevention techniques.*
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.*
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.

Education and Certification Requirements

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.*
• Current Utah Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to obtain licensure.*
• Current CPR/BLS certification.*
• Previous clinical experience preferred.*
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.*
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or orthopedic settings.*
• Strong patient-centered care approach.*
• Ability to adapt to a variety of patient populations and treatment plans.*
• Excellent time-management and documentation skills.
