Physical Therapist Assistant Job Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.*
Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.*
Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.*
Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment outcomes.*
Educate patients and family members on exercises, safety precautions, and home exercise programs.*
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.*
Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.*
Support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while promoting positive clinical outcomes.

Education and Certification Requirements

Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.*
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Utah or eligibility to obtain licensure.*
Current CPR/BLS certification.*
Previous clinical experience preferred.*
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.*
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
