Job Purpose:
- Provide physical therapy patient care under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist to support patients’ healing, improved mobility, function, pain management and quality of life aligned with IOC policies and procedures.
- Contribute to creating a professional, positive clinic environment where patient care is the top priority.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Follow IOC workflows and policies to ensure a safe, clean, and collaborative workplace and excellent patient experience.
- Collaborate with other physical therapy staff to maintain physical therapy treatment rooms and gym (e.g., daily cleaning, stocking supplies, etc.). Regularly inventories supplies, communicating via Teams when supplies are low.
- Greet and room patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of electronic health record chart notes following IOC workflows and policies.
- Provide patient care aligned with the established individualized plans of care and treatment schedules using physical therapy techniques including manual therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, ultrasound, and other approved modalities.
- Communicate patient progress to Physical Therapist and contribute to determining any changes to plans of care and treatment schedules, as needed.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards governing physical therapy.
- Maintain state, federal and insurance certifications, licensing and compliance requirements. Seek out opportunities for continuous learning aligned with IOC’s standard of care.
Requirements:

Education, Experience & Certifications:
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Current Minnesota Physical Therapist Assistant license, in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Environment:
- This position requires the ability to move about the office the majority of the day and the physical manipulation of patients’ bodies as well as treatment equipment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers as well as gym equipment, ultrasound machines and other modalities.
- Local travel may be required.

Compensation: $26.31 - $35.60 per hour
