Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Neulife Rehabilitation - Mount Dora, FLPosition OverviewNeulife Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitative care. This role is essential in helping patients recover from injury, surgery, or neurological conditions by improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring functional independence.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver physical therapy interventions based on established plans of care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical TherapistAdminister therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activities
Utilize therapeutic modalities as appropriate (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy) in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols
Accurately document patient treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely manner
Monitor patient status and report changes, concerns, or progress to the supervising Physical TherapistAssist in modifying treatment techniques within the established plan of care to meet patient needs
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs (HEP), safety, and injury prevention strategies
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, payer guidelines, and company policies
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centered care planning
Support clinic flow, including patient preparation and equipment setup
Qualifications & RequirementsAssociate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current, active Florida PTA license in good standingCPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, modalities, and documentation standards
Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
