POSITION AVAILABLE IN BRIGHTON, COLORADOWe are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy to deliver high-quality patient care in the musculoskeletal setting. Power Health Colorado focuses primarily on personal injuries and impairments in motion and strength with individuals of all ages. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall well-being through tailored therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities
- Assist DPT in implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages experiencing pain in the musculoskeletal system.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and activity, and neuromuscular reeducation to promote healing and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, and discharge planning strategies.
- Help coordinate care by communicating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless treatment continuity.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the principles of physiotherapy to deliver safe and effective care.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in accordance with CO state regulations and DORA.
- Experience working in the outpatient setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques.
- Experience with specialized treatments and prescribing exercise.
- Familiarity with plan of care integration for diverse patient populations and chronicity.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and patient safety.
