Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that helps residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled treatment interventions as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care
- Accurately document patient progress using an electronic medical record system
- Monitor and report patient status changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility tasks
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Maintain productivity expectations while delivering exceptional quality of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated services
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active state PTA license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Strong understanding of therapy techniques and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Preferred:
- Experience working with geriatric populations
- Experience in assisted living or post-acute care settings
