Physical Therapy Assistant

WorkFit Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including rehabilitation facilities and outpatient clinics, providing essential support to physical therapists in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the administration of physical therapy treatments as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatment and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to support their recovery.
• Document patients’ progress and maintain accurate records for the physical therapy department.
• Maintain and clean therapy equipment to ensure a safe and effective treatment environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in New York State.
• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises.
• CPR certification is strongly preferred.
