Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to deliver the best possible rehabilitation in LRH's patient-focused setting.
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of Director of Rehab Services for physical and occupational therapy, functions as a member of the healthcare team to provide patient care. Assists therapy patients and prepares patients for therapy treatments. Transports patients to and from treatment area. Assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of the professional staff. Records treatment given and equipment used, cleans work area and equipment after treatment. Handles routine patient inquiries and problems and schedules/registers patients.
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent. One to three months experience in a patient care field or training preferred. Candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Must speak and read English fluently. Ability to train and learn basic computer skills needed to schedule patients and review electronic patient documentation required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Basic Life Support and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting or completion according to education Policy.
