Physician Assistant - Family Medicine (Behavioral Health Clinic) Part-Time

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education - master's in physician assistant required.
• Experience- One-year experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• Licensure/Certification- License to practice as Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland required. Current DEA Registration and CDS permit required. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. ACLS in compliance with policy required.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Demonstrates critical thinking, extensive clinical competence and expertise. Demonstrated ability to work well with all disciplines at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Fluency in coding, ICD-10 and CPT, or commitment to acquire. Will have EHR computer access

Schedule & Work Model

• Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday and Tuesday
• No after-hours call - your evenings are yours!
• "Round and Go" model: Finish your H&Ps and consults early? You're still on call until 5 PM, but free to go if not needed.

Patient Care & Responsibilities

• Average daily volume: ~15 patients, plus lab reviews and EKG interpretation
• Scope: All medical management outside of psychiatric care (low to moderate complexity)
• Age range: Patients 8 years and older
• Procedures: Minimal - mostly cerumen removal and occasional wound care

Core Duties

• Complete History & Physicals (H&Ps) for all new admissions within 24 hours
• Provide medical consults upon request from attending psychiatrists
• Conduct follow-ups for chronic conditions and lab value reviews
• Independently read EKGs (cardiologist oversight not required)
