Pay Range:
The base pay range for this position is
$240,000.00-$290,000.00 Annual
however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position overview:
This position provides high quality medical care by examining patients and determining the appropriate treatment plans illness or injuries. The physician conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions and prescribes medical treatment or services
Essential Functions:
Work with the healthcare team to provide patients with Endocrinology medical care services within the standard of care for Endocrinology patients
Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, and refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help treat the health issue they are experiencing.
Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
Adhere to organization and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Document patient care conversations, care provided and all other work as defined by organizational standards in the EMR.
Promotes and contributes to a positive work environment, serving others with professional and positive attitude.
Responsible to train, demonstrate, or guide others in the performance of assigned work, includes, but not limited to, medical students and resident physicians.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and take responsibility for departmental space.
Participation in organizational wide new employee orientation, successful completion of departmental orientation, and other medical staff committees.
Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility. The expectation is that the employee will be present and on-time for all scheduled shifts.

Required Skills:
Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a Physician.
Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for Endocrinology.

Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the clinic and organization.
Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, and customers.
Strong typing skills.
Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.
Required Education, Licensure, Certifications, and Experience:
Maintain physician licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
Board certified or board eligible in specialty.
Active Washington State DEA license
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting: 20%. Standing/Walking: 80%.
Occasional lifting/carrying of supplies and patient related equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
Occasional climbing of stairs to reach other levels of the building.
Occasional stooping/kneeling to access documents and supplies in lower cabinets.
Frequent reaching/handling to complete paperwork, operate telephone, and computer.
Constant talking/hearing/seeing to interact with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.
Environmental Conditions:
- Location: Inside. Must wear personal protective equipment such as eye protection, masks, gowns, and gloves to provide protection from blood and other bodily fluids.
- Frequent exposure to noise may cause distraction.
Travel Requirements:
- May require travel between Moscow, Pullman, and Palouse to other clinics or the hospital for patient care needs.
