Opportunity:

Physician - Hematology Oncology

Job Details:

Full-time position requiring 4 weeks per month coverage
Function as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with medical oncologist/hematologist training and licensure
Work schedule of 4-5 days per week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with administrative day or half day as needed
Outpatient setting in a free-standing cancer center using EPIC EMR system
See 10-15 patients per day in outpatient clinic/office setting
Handle hospital rounding only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemotherapy
Practice demographics consist of approximately 20% hematology and 80% oncology cases
Focus on timely evaluation of new solid tumor diagnoses within 1 week of referral
Most benign hematology cases are referred out to allow focus on oncology patients
Work alongside 3 current physicians and 2 advanced practice providers
Call schedule includes 7 days of call including one weekend in a 1:4 rotation
Board certification in both Hematology and Oncology required
Must meet criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
DEA license and clean background with no malpractice history highly preferred
