Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine Physician coverage position with flexible shift options
• Shift lengths of 9 to 12 hours available
• Coverage includes day and night hours with 1-2 physicians during day hours and 1 physician during night hours
• 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers on staff with supervision of APPs expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• No inpatient responsibilities or outreach required
• Average emergency department volume of 77 patients per day with 33,000 annual visits
• Peak shifts and busiest times occur between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM
• Transfer out rate of less than 3% of patients
• Level 3 Trauma Center with 250 beds
• Teaching hospital opportunity
• EMR system: EPIC
• Board Certified in Family Practice or ABEM required
• Active Iowa license or IMLC required
• ACLS and PALS through AHA required; ATLS required for trauma privileges
