Opportunity:
Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Provide 24-hour call coverage with in-house hospital rounding for 8 hours per day, including procedures and rounding
- Perform colonoscopies, biopsies, polypectomies, proctoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, upper GI endoscopy, PEG, esophageal variceal banding, banding lesions, management of acute GI bleeding, and dilation
- ERCP experience highly preferred with expected volume of one to two procedures per week
- Perform approximately one to two scopes per day in the hospital setting
- Manage an average of one to two new patient consults per day
- Round on an average of five to six patients per day
- Work as a solo locum with no additional gastroenterologist on site and no clinic responsibilities
- No supervision of other healthcare providers required
- Work within an endoscopy room supported by RNs and CRNAs
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology required
- Active North Dakota state license highly preferred; pending license or IMLC accepted
- BLS and DEA certification required
- Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation, dated within 30 days of presentation date
- Case logs will be requested for review at presentation and offer
