Job Description
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Manager, Medical Fitness, the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for instructing their assigned exercise classes. Education: High school graduate or the equivalent. Group Exercise certification required from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) including, but not limited to: American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness. Experience: Minimum of one year of group exercise teaching experience. Special Skills: Maintains current CPR BLS certification. Effective group process skills. Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly. Effective listening skills. Ability to pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and the changing work environment related to changing client needs. Ability to work cooperatively with clients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve. Please note that per diem roles are compensated at a fixed holder rate and fee-for-client rates, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
