Overview:

The PIP Arbitration Legal Assistant can be responsible for a number of tasks, including, but not limited to insurance inquiries and phone calls, filing of Demands for Arbitrations, and processing of checks for medical providers and the firm.  More experienced legal assistance may be responsible forassistance with new file reviews, fee schedules, and appeals.

Responsibilities:

  • Insurance inquiries and phone calls.
  • Filing of Demands for Arbitration via eLaw.
  • Processing of provider checks.
  • Assist with processing of counsel fee and costs checks.
  • Assist with new file review.
  • Organization and review of AOB, bills, EOBs, medical records, pre-certification requests, appeals, etc.
  • Communication with medical providers, insurance companies, attorney offices, etc. to obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Preparation of fee schedule breakdown.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of post-service appeals.
  • Prepare the post-service appeal form.

Qualifications:

  • PIP arbitration experience is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with associated documentation (AOB, bills, EOBs, medical records, pre-certification requests, pre and post service appeals, etc.) is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to prepare post service appeals is a plus, but not required
  • Prepare narrative
  • Organize necessary supporting documentation

Compensation Range:

$45,000 - $55,000USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
