Job Description

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Pipe Foreman to join our construction department. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of pipefitters, ensuring work is performed according to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, including resource allocation, task assignments, and progress monitoring to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Inspect work for quality and compliance with industry standards and project specifications, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, providing practical solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, engineers, other foremen, and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, and material usage.
  • Mentor and train team members, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices within the pipefitting trade.

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pipefitter, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in pipefitting preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in pipefitting and safety (e.g., OSHA) are highly desirable.

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of various pipefitting techniques and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
