Job Description

Location: Appleton, WISalary: $110,000.00 USD Annually - $130,000.00 USD AnnuallyDescription: Our client is currently seeking a Piping Designer. They are an engineering consultancy that provides full‑service engineering, procurement, and construction management solutions to industrial process manufacturers across the pulp & paper, chemical, power & delivery, heavy industrial, consumer products, and food & beverage sectors. With strong growth underway, this is an exciting time to join their team!This job will have the following responsibilities:

The Piping Designer will develop detailed designs and layouts for piping systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Producing CAD designs for equipment layouts and piping routings in accordance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Coordinating the work of other lead designers assigned to the project.
  • Ensuring discipline leads have the correct project standards, checklists, and documentation.
  • Maintaining and updating the overall 3D model as needed.
  • Preparing engineering drawings and supporting documentation.
  • Participating in client meetings as requested by the Project Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and the confidence to challenge the status quo to drive value for clients. Requirements include:

  • 8–10 years of experience in piping engineering and/or design; prior engineering services experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D to support existing design workflows.
  • Experience with Revit strongly preferred
  • Background in pipe support design.
  • Associate’s degree in Drafting or Design.
  • Hands‑on experience developing equipment and facility layouts, building 3D piping models, producing orthographic drawings and isometrics, creating bills of materials, and selecting/designing piping supports.
