Are you an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and driving reliability in critical systems? This is your opportunity to be the go-to expert for electrical distribution at a dynamic production site. As anElectrical Engineer II, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining, upgrading, and future-proofing our extensive power infrastructure. From managing small capital projects to leading system improvements, you’ll ensure our operations stay safe, efficient, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the site’selectrical authority—plan and oversee maintenance, upgrades, and electrical outages (switchgear, breakers, substations).
  • Drivereliability engineering initiatives—analyze failures, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance.
  • Leadcapital projects—from concept to completion—balancing budgets, compliance, and innovation.
  • Supervise and mentor contractors and technicians, ensuringsafety-first practices(Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout).
  • ChampionSCADA & smart technology—supporting and upgrading our Energy Data Information System (EDIS) for better monitoring and efficiency.
  • Share your expertise by training plant teams on new electrical technologies and safety standards.
  • Keep usfuture-readywith strategic plans for system expansions, digital upgrades, and reliability improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in Alabama (preferred).
  • Proven expertise withpower distribution systems(480V–12.47kV), preventive maintenance, and power quality assessments.
  • Strong knowledge ofelectrical safety standards(Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout).
  • Experience managingbudgets, contractors, and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, power meters, and relay programming.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence, train, and inspire others.
