Join our team, working closely with the Reliability and Performance Manager to drive engineering advancements within our power facility. Your role will be pivotal in supporting operations, optimizing maintenance, and spearheading engineering projects to enhance plant efficiency. Leverage your engineering expertise to collaborate on strategic assignments in both autonomous and team environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Engage in comprehensive rotations across operations, maintenance, and material handling to build a thorough understanding of plant systems and team dynamics. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and mitigate equipment issues efficiently. - Offer expert technical support to Operations and Maintenance, addressing procedural and project-based needs. - Contribute to the conceptualization and realization of projects, while ensuring alignment with budgetary and timeline objectives. - Coordinate contractor activities for maintenance and testing procedures. - Drive root cause analysis efforts to identify underlying issues and implement effective solutions. - Monitor equipment for performance reliability, working with in-house and external professionals to formulate corrective actions. - Participate in meticulously planned plant outages, maintaining adherence to scope, timing, and budget. - Collaborate on the application of predictive maintenance technologies that preemptively identify adverse conditions. - Uphold compliance with all regulatory requirements across local, state, and federal levels. - Pursue continuous improvement of plant processes through collaboration with diverse departments. - Engage in management of change initiatives to foster ongoing development. - Ensure alignment with OSHA safety standards and company policies throughout all tasks. - Pursue innovative and cost-efficient methodologies for equipment oversight. - Take charge of creating and managing work orders and procurement necessities. - Maintain a proactive approach to sharing technical insights and embracing new technologies. - Demonstrate adaptability to organizational changes, with a focus on personal and professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or substantial relevant experience in Power Generation roles. - Over 5 years of experience preferred within the Engineering domain, or 10+ years in a technical role. - Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and data trends. - Strategically minded with strong problem-solving capabilities. - Project management experience is advantageous. - Familiarity with software tools such as OSIsoft PI, AutoCAD, Maximo, and others is beneficial. - Solid background in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with team facilitation abilities. - Ability to manage high-pressure situations with flexibility and readiness to tackle workload spikes.
