Job Description

As a Plant Health Care Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating tree and shrub health issues within a defined service area. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.A Typical Day May Include

  • Inspecting trees and shrubs to identify pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and other plant health concerns
  • Recommending and applying appropriate treatments to improve plant health and vitality
  • Preparing written diagnostic reports and educating clients about their landscape and tree care needs
  • Operating spray and application equipment safely and effectively
  • Managing a service route while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction

About YouYou are someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and helping trees and landscapes thrive. You take pride in your work and want to grow your career in plant health care.Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minnesota Pesticide Applicator License – Category A & E (or ability to obtain immediately)
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn plant and tree identification
  • Commitment to completing required training and certifications
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work full days outdoors in varying weather conditions with occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or coursework in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Science, Landscape Management, or Turfgrass
  • Prior experience in plant health care, landscaping, turf management, or arboriculture
Physical RequirementsThis position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.Candidates must be able to:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Bend, reach, stoop, and move equipment as needed
  • Safely operate tools and application equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
