PAY: $38.40

We are recruiting candidates for a Plant Helper at our La Cygne Generating Station. Please find below a list of the minimum requirements for the position. Job Duties:

• Performs manual labor in connection with plant cleanup, cinder disposal, fuel handling and general building and grounds maintenance.
• Assists maintenance crafts or operations personnel when needed.
• Assists in storeroom or drives trucks and forklift when needed.
• Cleans area in plant office and does other janitorial work as assigned.
• Will be required to use power tools as appropriate in performing the duties and tasks of the plant helper position.
• Will promote into boiler or fuel operations departments in a line of progression

Essential Job Functions: Must be able to perform all essential functions as identified by the Company.

General: Must be licensed to drive as required by state law. Must be mechanically inclined and capable of absorbing training necessary for qualifications in higher jobs in boiler operations or fuel operations department.

Testing: This position requires successful completion of the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) aptitude test.

Education: High School or equivalent
