Job Description

Denali Staffing Group is assisting one of our valued clients in Alaska with the recruitment of a Plant Manager. This key role ensures that facilities remain safe, operational, and available for educational, administrative, and community use.
The Plant Manager will oversee facility operations, supervise maintenance staff, manage safety and compliance programs, and ensure all building systems function efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your leadership and technical expertise in a role that directly impacts both the organization and the surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation, maintenance, and accessibility of facilities.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot all building systems.
- Supervise and schedule facility maintenance and safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire codes.
- Prepare reports including daily work logs, inventories, project updates, and monthly activity summaries.
- Implement, oversee, and maintain safety and compliance programs.
- Participate in required training and adhere to all organizational policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Alaska Driver's License.
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Five (5) years in construction trades or facilities maintenance management.
- Experience in boiler maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Pool operator certification.
Preferred:
- Public Management certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Inupiaq language skills and cultural knowledge.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Regular exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Travel may be required; must be comfortable flying in small and large commuter aircraft.
