- Review work order and write/recall CAD layout for specifications of customer preference.
- Apply proper masking, color bars, tick marks, side guides, and plate naming information.
- Determine if all information applied is correct before being sent to the plate setter.
- Un-archive items in proper make plate folder and launch plate file to digital plate making devise and expose plate.
- Identify what press would be appropriate to use by analyzing the work order.
- Enter, store, and retrieve information on computer aided equipment.
- Examine photographic images for obvious imperfections prior to plate making.
- Check combos from proofs to layout.
- Differentiate how each plant may want their layout based on preference and standards.
- Perform minor deletions, additions, or corrections to completed plates.
- Other duties as assigned
