Job Description

Contract Details- Work Mode: Hybrid (on-site once or twice per month; frequency may change)- Location: Dover, DE- Schedule: Day shift, approximately 8:00 AM 4:30 PM ET; 37 hours/week; weekends if required- Duration: Target start 2026-07-20 through 2027-06-30- Interview Process: In-person

About the OpportunityThis role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale observability and automation solutions. You will build and maintain OpenTelemetry pipelines, develop CI/CD workflows, and enable infrastructure automation across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. You ll collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, self-service capabilities and ensure system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement OpenTelemetry (OTel) pipelines and collectors.
  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Automate infrastructure using Ansible (as code) and Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot log aggregation and telemetry pipelines end-to-end.
  • Provide enterprise platform engineering and operational support across hybrid cloud/on prem environments.
  • Create clear documentation and enable self-service workflows for internal teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry pipelines/collector.
  • Ansible for infrastructure automation; scripting/configuration as code.
  • CI/CD pipeline development and support; GitHub Actions and GitOps practices.
  • Terraform and Linux administration in hybrid cloud/on prem settings.
  • Experience with log aggregation and telemetry troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting Zscaler engineering/integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grafana Cloud/Enterprise; dashboard development and observability engineering.
  • Ansible Automation Platform; GitHub Enterprise.
  • Azure and/or AWS exposure.
  • Experience building self-service workflows.
  • Prior public-sector or large enterprise experience.

Work Environment

  • Must reside within a 90-minute commute of Dover, DE.
  • Collaborative work with Platform Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
  • No regular travel expected; occasional weekend work may be required.
