Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, and other issues; test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, repair or replace broken plumbing parts, and clear obstructions in plumbing systems.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time and materials used, and provide reports as needed.
- Identify and resolve plumbing issues promptly and efficiently, providing practical solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Education Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a plumber, with a strong background in industrial plumbing.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing is preferred.
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
- Proficient in using hand and power tools related to plumbing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
