There has always been a small restaurant at the “Corner” in Riverside, Missouri. Enter Ed & Kathi Rule. They had never been in the restaurant business before, but they always felt they knew what good food was all about. It began on May 15, 1983, when they opened a little 40-seat cafe that served breakfast and lunch. The CORNER CAFE was born. Expansions and new buildings have been built, but we continue the traditions that started back in 1983. We strive to provide the best products, the best service, and the best value in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re part of the family. The Liberty location opened in 2004.

It's a great feeling to see a meal come together. Our guests enjoy many items cooked to order just as they like it and our line cooks bring those meals together perfectly. Grill Line Cooks are in charge of preparing food and plating dishes according to our menu specifications. A wide variety of menu items allows Line Cooks to develop and use their skills in various areas including grill, fryer, egg skillets, and plating. 

You will be responsible for setting up your workstation, preparing food for guests, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

Job Duties

- Ensure the grill line is set up and stocked.

- Know the proper cooking methods, portions and presentations of all menu items.

- Know the proper temperature settings for all equipment and cooking times of all items

- Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

- Clean work area and take care of leftovers.
