TITLE: Extrusion Technician CPOSITION OBJECTIVE: Operate in a safe and efficient manner so as to be productive, while maintaining high quality product with strict deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 1 years' experience in extrusion departmentP.C. knowledgeMechanical aptitudeOral and written communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency at winder operator levelEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for safety, quality and production of assigned lineMaximize throughput in accordance with operating instructions and/or SOC'sMaintain and monitor gauge profile control in accordance with plant objectiveEnsure correct resin formulations in accordance with SOC'sFill out material consumption according to docket and enter in the systemInitiate timely line adjustments to correct quality issues, in accordance with operating procedures and/or troubleshooting manualsClosely monitor all extrusion functions to ensure that line is running within required operating conditionsTake line data to verify settings according to SOC's for product being runMaintain frequent contact with rear on line operations to ensure compliance with operating procedures and SOC'sAssist adjoining line, as needed, to maximize productivityProperly maintain and care for equipment. Notify Sr. Technician of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attentionHousekeeping: ensure that lines are kept clean and orderly, complying with daily housekeeping requirements checklistsOvertime as requiredAny other duties as deemed necessary by the Sr. Extrusion TechnicianProvide cooperative support for QC lab requirements in testing proceduresSupport Process Department to meet plant and departmental goalsAssist in training of Winder OperatorsAttends site training classesComply with Plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practicesMust have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as requiredAble to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
