Podiatry Clinic LPN / CMA - Full Time - Days

MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

About The Job: This position is for a CMA or LPN that serves as a resource nurse, provides patient care and is a patient advocate.

The Position: 1.0 FTE 40 hours per week

Shift: Monday-Thursday

Position Qualifications:

1. Education:
2. 1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
   2. A current Iowa License as an LPN is required OR a graduate of an approved school for medical assistants, certification as a medical assistant is required.
   3. Must demonstrate competence in BLS certification within six months in position by obtaining certification.
3. Experience:
4. 1. Six months previous clinic nursing experience preferred.
   2. Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred.

6. 1. Strong communication skills with ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers.
   2. Organizational skills, with attention to detail, including time management and workflow.
   3. Flexibility and adaptability.
   4. Basic computer and telephone skills.
   5. Willingness to accept, responsibility and accountability for own actions.
   6. A sense of importance of the nurse's role as a patient advocate.
