As an intern you will learn about every division within the department and have the opportunity to answer your questions about a career in law enforcement while working alongside one of the best departments in the Johnson County area.
This internship is a PAID internship with an hourly rate of $15.50.

The Police Intern provides project related support and will learn about specific operations of the Olathe Police Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to research and administrative projects for the Olathe Police Department.
Participate in a mock interview.
Participate in ride-a-longs with various police department personnel.
Job shadow personnel across various assignments in the Police Department.
Qualifications:
Experience: None
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be eighteen (18) years of age at the time of the selection required. Enrollment in a college internship course preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver's license and favorable driving record is required.
Environmental or Physical Demands:
The Police Intern typically performs work in an office setting. Exposure to computer screens and other electronic equipment can be expected. In rare cases, the police intern may be exposed to bio-hazardous materials, waste, and bodily fluids.
