Job Description

Turning Point Action is a 501(c)(4) organization founded in 2019 by Charlie Kirk. The organization's mission is to embolden the conservative base through grassroots activism and provide voters with the necessary resources to elect true conservative leaders. Turning Point Action has emerged as the country's leading grassroots organization, giving individuals the opportunity and platform to run for office at the local level, providing voters with critical information surrounding their district's candidates and elections, allowing them unparalleled access to some of the most impactful figures in the movement. Turning Point Action is on a mission to save America, one precinct at a time.

The Turning Point Action Scorecard is the most comprehensive and transparent rating system in the conservative movement.  Our team has worked across the conservative movement to identify every scorecard and the legislation they encompass and provide an accumulation of scoring from across the Republican spectrum.  The goal of the scorecard is to hold elected officials accountable and inform all citizens about how their representatives are voting in office; this gives conservatives the power to vote smart and demand results.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Turning Point Action is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Political Administrator to support the strategic execution and continued expansion of the Scorecard project across key battleground states. This role sits at the intersection of political research, data integrity, and strategic influence, ensuring that our legislative analysis and endorsement efforts are grounded in accuracy, discipline, and long-term vision.

The Political Administrator will serve as a critical operational backbone for the Scorecard initiative — maintaining precise data on elected officials and key races, conducting in-depth legislative research, and supporting targeted endorsements that align with Turning Point Action's mission and electoral strategy. This individual will help translate complex policy and voting records into clear internal analysis and externally facing materials that strengthen our political footprint.

This role requires a disciplined operator who thrives in structured environments, values clean systems, and understands that political influence depends on both backend precision and effective public messaging. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, legislative documents, and digital platforms, and can execute administrative processes with consistency and independence.

Political experience is a bonus, not a prerequisite. What is essential is strategic thinking, technological competence, intellectual rigor, and extreme attention to detail. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong written communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive political information with discretion and professionalism.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, verify, and organize data on elected officials, candidates, and key races
  • Research legislation currently on the floor and upcoming in Congress and state legislatures
  • Conduct detailed analysis of voting records, policy positions, and public statements
  • Assist with endorsement interview preparation, documentation, and follow-up
  • Build and maintain organized digital files and structured databases
  • Monitor political news, media, and policy developments
  • Support Scorecard updates and public-facing materials with accuracy and consistency
  • Develop creative, data-driven social media posts that translate Scorecard insights into clear and compelling messaging
  • Contribute to social media strategy aligned with legislative timelines, endorsements, and key political moments
  • Coordinate with legislators, staff, grassroots organizations, and internal teams
  • Assist with special strategic initiatives and operational projects as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to accuracy
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce concise, professional summaries of complex political and legislative information
  • High organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and comfort working within structured digital systems
  • Demonstrated confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive political information
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to connect research and data to broader organizational objectives
  • A self-starter mentality with a growth mindset and strong desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Clear alignment with Turning Point Action's mission and values

“WOW!” SKILLS:

  • Extensive knowledge of party politics and political landscapes
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Prior use of Airtable or other relevant project management platforms
  • Experience with or understanding of policy-making

All applicants will be subject to a background check and would be required to sign an NDA for employment.
