Join Our Team as a Polysomnographic Technician - PolysomnographerAre you a dedicated sleep medicine professional looking to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Polysomnographic Technician to provide exceptional diagnostic sleep studies across diverse patient populations. This vital role offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to improving patient health outcomes through precise and compassionate sleep assessments.Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of previous sleep lab experience; more experience preferred
- Certification: BLS, RPSGT or RRT-SDS; valid LA state license
- Proficiency in setting up and monitoring sleep studies, including knowledge of therapeutic respiratory interventions (BiPAP, CPAP)
- Ability to prepare and fit positive airway pressure masks, troubleshoot equipment
- Comfort working with pediatric (under age 6) and geriatric patients; experience working with patients with sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, parasomnias
- Excellent patient interaction skills, capable of answering patient questions
- Ability to follow sleep procedures precisely and document baseline and event data
- Ability to monitor and adjust electrodes, thermistors, and other probes effectively
- Tech-savvy with troubleshooting skills, proficient in EMR systems (Meditech Expanse) and sleep monitoring devices (Alice Sleepwear G3/Nihon Kohden)
- Capable of assisting with basic patient care, including ambulation
- Comfortable working independently, sometimes solo, with support available via phone or text
- Experience with sleep scoring (not required to perform full scoring)
- Knowledge of sleep-related movement disorders and parasomnias
- Cross-training in other respiratory or sleep-related procedures
- At least 1 year of sleep lab or related clinical experience
- Relevant certifications and licenses are highly valued
- Must have valid LA state license and current certifications
- Willingness to work a schedule that includes alternating shifts with weekend rotation (every other weekend)
- Shift hours: 6:45 PM 7:15 AM, with schedule flexibility (e.g., Thurs-Sat, Mon-Thurs)
- No holiday work required; approval needed for time off
- Ability to work between two clinics (Pierremont and Bossier)
- Uniform: Pewter scrubs; gray, white, or black T-shirts with WK monogram; gray or black jackets
- Badge must be visible at all times
- Free parking provided
- Position start date: April 6, 2026
- Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60
